Jeff Skinner hoping to pile up on goals before next concussion

RALEIGH, NC – According to team sources, Carolina forward Jeff Skinner has been eagerly trying to pad his goal totals before he suffers his annual concussion.

Skinner has been on a tear recently, with a hat trick in two of his last three games, and the Hurricanes insider says that his form can be attributed to knowing that he's bound to miss a large chunk of 2016.

"This next one could be a real doozy," he said.

"We're getting pretty close to going a full calendar year without a concussion, so he's trying extra hard to do what he can before the new year."

According to the source, team coaches have been urging Skinner's teammates to pass to him at any opportunity to maximize his goalscoring potential.
