MONTCLAIR, NJ – In what the Devils are calling an early Christmas miracle, forward Beau Bennett got out of bed on Monday morning without injuring himself.

Team doctors were notified of the development via phone call, as an hysterical Bennett called them just after getting out of the shower.

"He was delirious," Dr. Leonard Fletcher said. "He kept repeating that it was the first time he had gotten out of bed without incurring a serious injury since he was 12 years old."

"I'm not a big believer in God or miracles, but it's really hard not to look up to the heavens sometimes and just wonder what this is all about. How things like this happen."

Bennett's neighbours reportedly saw him running down the street in his boxer shorts just after 7am, waving at random people and yelling "I feel eleven again!"

The Devils had placed the forward on IR last Wednesday after he sustained a right leg laceration. It was not confirmed if that was a sleep-related injury.
