EDMONTON, AB – The Oilers today announced that they will be releasing ticket packages next week for the much anticipated draft lottery in April.

The team will be offering everything from individual seats to luxury suites at Rogers Place for the event. Sales staff expect tickets to sell out in minutes.

"It's the most anticipated time of the year for our organization," senior VP of hockey operations, Craig MacTavish, said at today's press conference.

"As a franchise, we were disappointed to be eliminated from draft lottery contention last year, but our players, coaches and staff have gone above and beyond, and really tapped into that Oilers spirit this season to put us in this position."

MacTavish said there was some serious soul-searching over the summer after last season's failed campaign, but that they were happy to be back to playing 'Oilers hockey'.

"Everyone in the city is excited at the prospect of going to the big dance once again."

It is believed that after seating in the upper and lower bowls is sold out, a limited number of tickets for concourse viewing will also go on sale – starting at $100 each.

In other news, the team is expected to announce the hiring of more former Oilers to senior management positions in the coming weeks, including Shawn Horcoff, Kelly Buchberger, and Janne Niinimaa.
