Turris and Dorion fooling nobody by pretending nothing happened last night

KANATA, ON – Following a reportedly failed trade that saw Kyle Turris almost moved to Nashville overnight, several Senators players say no-one on the team is being fooled by GM Pierre Dorion and Turris acting normally today.

Dorion arrived at the Canadian Tire Centre this morning and tried focussing on greeting his players in the same way he usually does.

"Morning Kyle, lovely day, isn't it?" the GM asked the centreman while fidgeting with some papers as he walked through the players' area. "How was your evening?"

Turris said that he had a stress-free evening watching a movie and not checking twitter before going to bed.

Dorion stated that he was "in bed by nine and didn't make any contact with another human general manager all evening."

"They're fooling absolutely nobody," defenceman Dion Phaneuf told The Elbow on Saturday. "We all heard about the trade, and Turris came in wearing a bunch of scarves around his face to cover his blotchy eyes."

Goaltender Craig Anderson also added that he saw the GM walking from his car whispering "just act normal, just act normal" to himself.

At press time, Dorion was spotted outside the Sens locker room debating whether he should go in and make sure Turris was happy with everything.
